The natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire coast and the Gower peninsula are famed all over the world. Glorious sandy beaches and seemingly endless rugged coastline give way to the Preseli Hills, historic towns and little villages. We stay in Tenby for our tour, ideal for visiting this delightful corner of Wales.
Day 1: Following your collection from home, we make our way to the Park Hotel in Tenby, making suitable stops en-route.
Day 2: Following breakfast, we include an excursion to Haverfordwest & St. David’s. Haverfordwest is delightfully situated on the River Cleddau and boasts a Norman Castle. St. David’s is situated on the far South West coast of Wales; although technically a city due to its magnificent Cathedral, St. David’s is actually an attractive village. On our return to the hotel, we travel through the Preseli Mountains.
Day 3: We spend the morning in Carmarthen, one of the oldest towns in Wales set on the banks of the River Towy, with a pedestrianised shopping area and a large modern covered market. We return to Tenby for an afternoon at leisure.
Day 4: Today’s excursion takes us to the stunningly beautiful Gower Peninsula. We will enjoy a 2 hour guided coach tour taking in the highlights of Gower: from the heights of Cefn Bryn and the historic “Arthur’s Stone” to the breathtaking beauty of Rhossili Beach and the Worm’s Head. (Whilst here we also include a cream tea at the Gower Heritage Centre). This afternoon we also visit the picture postcard resort of Mumbles, delightfully located on Swansea Bay.
Day 5: We depart for Norfolk, where our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
