The historic town of Criccieth is set in the glorious Snowdonia area on North Wales’s Llyn Peninsula. Known as the ‘Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, Criccieth offers wonderful vistas of the surrounding area.
Day 1: Joining from a convenient local joining point, we make a relaxed departure to the Lion Hotel in Criccieth for four nights.
Day 2: After breakfast, we visit Caernarfon, famous for its impressive castle built by Edward I and the investiture of Prince Charles in 1969. From here we continue to the Pringle Woollen Mill, at Llanfair… gogogoch for a break. A small town with a very large name, maybe even have a go at pronouncing it. Later we continue to Beaumaris offering beautiful views out across the Menai Strait and quaint shops, tea rooms and a historic Castle, considered one of the most technically perfect castles within the United Kingdom.
Day 3: Spend a leisurely day in Criccieth or take the Cambrian Coast Railway to Pwllheli (cost not included).
Day 4: This morning we visit the Victorian resort of Llandudno. Situated between the Great and Little Orme headlands, this elegant resort is perfectly framed. Later we visit Betws-y-Coed, on the River Conwy in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, before returning to our hotel.
Day 5: We depart and travel back to Norfolk, and your local joining points.
