Cochem & Bernkastel
We travel through the Moselle valley to Cochem, renowned as one of the prettiest towns along the Moselle with its many fine buildings, quaint cottages, black & tan guild houses and winding streets. Loreley, Rüdesheim & Paddle ship RMS Goethe to Boppard

We continue to the Asbach visitors centre in Rüdesheim, for the chance to sample some of the finest Brandy from the area. Following this, we have ample free time to spend in this charming town with the famous Drosselgasse with its numerous cafes and restaurants, several with beautiful facades. Later we head to the landing stage for an included cruise along the Rhine onboard the paddle ship RMS Goethe to Boppard. (Due to operational requirements the standard of vessel or timetable may be changed at short notice).

Surrounded by vineyards, it boasts one of the most beautiful riverside promenades of the Rhine. Here we have an included ride on Germany’s oldest rack railway, the Drachenfelsbahn. This small cog railway runs up from the village to the famous Drachenfels rock, perched high above the Rhine offering fantastic views across the Rhine. After free time we return via the old town of Linz, known as the colourful city of the Rhine before returning to our hotel in Boppard.
