Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, we make our way to the Best Western Angel Hotel.
Day 2: This morning we visit Devizes and the famous Caen Hill Locks, a staircase of 16 locks on the Kennet and Avon canal. We continue to Bowood House, A stunning Georgian stately home that has been owned by the Lansdowne family for over 260 years, set in acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscape.
Day 3: We have a short drive to beautiful Bradford-on-Avon. Set perfectly in the dramatic Avon Valley, it is a rare combination of river, canal and architecture of true character. This afternoon we pay a visit to a national trust village of lacock. The picture-perfect village has plenty of shops, food outlets and buildings full of character to explore. Lacock is a real, living community, which is what makes this place so special to visit. TV shows such as ‘Downton Abbey’, ‘Cranford’ and ‘Pride and Prejudice’ were filmed here too.
Day 4: Our first visit is to ‘Steam’, the museum of the Great Western Railway, housed in a beautifully restored Grade II railway building in the heart of the former Swindon railway works. Later we head to the McArthur Glen Outlet for a chance of some retail therapy, before continuing to Castle Combe a quintessentially English village often named as the ‘prettiest village in England’.
Day 5: After a leisurely breakfast we return to Norfolk making suitable stops en-route. Upon arrival our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
