Celebrating the extraordinary beauty of Poldark’s Cornwall this tour is an opportunity to explore the landscape that inspired the author Winston Graham to write his famous novels and the BBC to recently remake the popular 1970’s TV series. We take time to explore the coast and countryside and soak up the atmosphere of this great county.

Day 1: Following you home taxi collection we make our way to the Rosemundy House hotel in St. Agnes for our 5 night stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.

Day 2: We pay a visit to Poldark Mine, one of Cornwall’s most important heritage sites, which is situated in the picturesque Wendron Valley, now a World Heritage Site. It was once the scene of intense industrial activity, but now the attractive surroundings and gardens belie its industrial past. We continue to St Ives where you can wander around the maze of cobbled streets with their quaint stone cottages, explore the harbour or maybe pay a visit to the Tate Gallery.

Day 3: We enjoy a full day with a blue badge guide for our Poldark themed tour taking in many of the places and inspirations for Winston Graham’s novels.

Day 4: Day at leisure.

Day 5: This morning our excursion takes us to St Mawes, situated on the Roseland Peninsula. A picturesque harbour with whitewashed houses is guarded by Henry VIII’s cloverleaf shaped St Mawes Castle. Later we visit Trelissick Garden, situated on a peninsula with commanding magnificent views over the Fal Estuary, Trelissick surely has one of the best natural settings of any estate in the country. There are 30 acres of garden to explore, with twisting paths with woodland plants and herbaceous borders that provide year-round colour and interest.

Day 6: After breakfast, we make the return journey to Norfolk making suitable stops en-route. Upon arrival our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
