Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, we make our way to the Rendezvous Hotel on the outskirts of Skipton for our 4 night stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2: This morning we travel to Saltaire for a walking tour of this fascinating village, named after Sir Titus Salt. This model village was built by Victorian textile manufacturer Titus Salt for his employees, with its permanent collection of Hockney paintings, prints and photographs from 1960s to the present day. Following our visit, we continue to Howarth famous for its connection with the Bronte sisters. Later we make the short journey to Howarth Station to board our steam train for our journey to Keighley on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. Travelling through a breathtaking landscape of heather and windswept moors on a railway that has become synonymous with the iconic 1970s film The Railway Children. This nostalgic trip down memory lane is not to be missed!
Day 3: Our excursion takes us to Leeming Bar. Here we join the Wensleydale Railway for a single journey to Leyburn. After rejoining the coach, we take in the sights of Aysgarth Falls, travel through Askrigg to Hawes, the highest market town in England and famous for its creamery and rope making industry. After lunch, we continue our scenic drive through the Dales passing the Ribblehead Viaduct and Settle to our hotel.
Day 4: Day at Leisure. This evening we have a relaxing three-hour dinner cruise on the Leeds Liverpool Canal aboard the hotel's purpose-built canal boat. You will gently glide along the canal enjoying dinner in a unique and tranquil setting.
Day 5: We return to Norfolk, where our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
