Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, we make our way to Cumbernauld for our overnight stay at the Doubletree by Hilton.
Day 2: Today we travel through spectacular scenery as we head for Scotland’s Far North and the Castletown hotel, for our three night stay.
Day 3: We board the ferry at Scrabster for the crossing to Stromness, Orkney, which takes approximately 1hour 30minutes. We meet our local guide for a tour of Orkney visiting the World Heritage Sites of Skara Brae, Stones of Stenness and Ring of Brodgar, Skaill House and Scapa Flow. Lunch break is at leisure in Kirkwall with the opportunity to view St Magnus Cathedral. We return on the late afternoon ferry to Scrabster. (All passengers aged 16 years and over are required to have photographic ID at check-in).
Day 4: We spend the morning at the Castle and Gardens of Mey, once the much-adored home of the Queen Mother, who saved it from ruin in 1952. With glorious views across the Pentland Firth towards Orkney, the castle is kept as it was when the Queen Mother was in residence. Later we travel to the famous landmark John o’ Groats’ for a nice scenic tour of the coast line. We will have a short time here before we head back to our hotel.
Day 5: Relax and enjoy the stunning Highland scenery stopping at Dornoch. This delightful village is steeped with history and offers a quiet spot in the Scottish Highlands set within beautiful scenery. We then head to Perth for our two night stay at the Salutation Hotel.
Day 6: Day at leisure. The charming city of Perth, set beside the beautiful River Tay, is ideally located for a short break in this truly stunning part of Scotland.
Day 7: After a hearty breakfast, we head back to Norfolk, making suitable stops en-route. Upon arrival our door to door taxi service will be waiting to take you home.
