Staying in the historic city of Waterford you’ll discover hidden gems in this lovely part of Ireland. To make the most of your stay we have included a guided tour of Waterford and a visit to Waterford Crystal. Visit Kilkenny, which is for many people the greatest city in Ireland. It is a medieval time capsule built around its magnificent castle and to help you get your bearings and see the best of the city we have included a trip aboard a local road train.
Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we travel to the Kinmel Hotel in North Wales for our overnight stay.
Day 2: An early departure for the journey to Holyhead, arriving in good time to check in and board our ferry, for the crossing to Dublin. Upon arrival, we disembark the ferry to make our way to the Dooley’s hotel in Waterford for four night stay and enjoy a welcome drink on arrival.
Day 3: Spend the day exploring Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city. We begin with an included walking tour of the historic core of Waterford City know as the Viking triangle. The tour lasts for around an hour and covers over a thousand years of history. Following the tour, there will be free time to explore the city at your own leisure. Later we include a visit to the House of Waterford Crystal in the heart of town. Take time to browse in the showroom and perhaps be tempted by the many unique pieces, some of which are exclusive to the gallery. After our visit, we stroll along the quayside returning to our hotel.
Day 4: This Morning we take a scenic drive along the Copper Coast - a protected national park with wonderful sea views to Dungarvan. On arrival, we have included entry to the castle. An Anglo-Norman fortification founded in 1185. It was built in a very strategic location at the mouth of the River Colligan. From here ships could be anchored, and soldiers could command the narrow strip of land to the south of the Comeragh Mountains, which linked East and West Waterford. Following time at leisure exploring this pretty harborside town, we enjoy some free time in the resort of Tramore, before continuing to the hotel.
Day 5: Today we head to Kilkenny, a well-preserved medieval town popular with tourists. On arrival we have an included ride on the Kilkenny Road Train. Sit back and relax as it makes its way through the narrow streets to reveal the abbey, cathedral and many highlights of this beautiful town. After our road train tour, there is free time to explore at leisure. Later we make our way to the JFK Memorial Park & Arboretum. Dedicated to the memory of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, President of the United States from 1960 to 1963, the Arboretum is a plant collection of international standing, covering 623 acres.
Day 6: Departing our hotel we make our way to Dublin for some free time, before continuing to the port to check in for our sailing to Holyhead. On arrival, we disembark the ferry for the journey to our overnight hotel the Celtic Royal Hotel in Caernarfon.
Day 7: We depart our overnight hotel in North Wales for the return journey to Norfolk. On arrival our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.

Dooley’s Hotel *** Waterford
The hotel is located in the heart of historic Waterford, overlooking the waterfront. It has the very best of modern facilities along with their special brand of hospitality. All rooms have facilities including tea/coffee trays, TV, hairdryer, trouser press and Wi-Fi. The Dry Dock bar and New Ship restaurant adjoins the lounge and are a lovely place to enjoy afternoon tea or a quiet drink. The hotel has a lift with some steps to enter rooms.
