Monday 9th - Friday 13th November 2020
Enjoy a 5 day break staying at a great hotel - the 3* Durrant House Hotel. This is set on the outskirts of the historical old port of Bideford on top of the hill with views over the Torridge estuary and beyond to the sandy beaches of Instow.
Day 1: Joining the coach from one of our convenient local joining points, we continue to North Devon and the Durrant house hotel in Bideford for our 4 night stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2: We head for the market town of Barnstaple, reputedly England’s oldest borough, which has gained consistent recognition in the annual Britain in Bloom. While here, why not have a look around the famous pannier market with its local Devon specialities. This afternoon we head to Dartington Crystal, the UK’s only remaining glass factory for a visit to its Visitors Centre.
Day 3: We journey through the Exmoor National Park stopping in Dunster. Set between the foothills of Exmoor National Park and the Somerset coast, Dunster is probably the largest and most intact medieval village in England. We continue our journey along the spectacular coastline to the resort of Lynmouth known as ‘Little Switzerland’ where we have time to explore the narrow streets, before returning to our hotel.
Day 4: Day at leisure.
Day 5: We depart for the return to Norfolk and your local joining point.
