Epping Ongar Railway is the award winning longest heritage railway in Essex and operates on the former end of the Underground Central Line, operating heritage trains between award winning old fashioned stations dating from 1865.
Start your visit with morning coffee/tea in the Anglia Coach café at North Weald station before taking your first rail journey of the day in the Diesel DMU train for a picturesque trip through part of Epping Forest – returning to North Weald.
After a walk around the shop or signal box (if not in use), you will board the steam train in your reserved carriage and enjoy a complimentary drink from the on-board bar. The steam train departs for Ongar which offers countryside views as you pass through Blake Hall Station. On arrival in Ongar, you will be served Fish & Chips at your table as the steam locomotive prepares for the return journey.
After a short time back in North Weald, take a ride on the 339 Heritage bus on a return trip to Epping Underground Station.
