Day 1: Joining the coach from a convenient local joining point, to continue the journey to the Wessex Hotel in Street Somerset.
Day 2: We spend the day in Bath. Already a spa resort in Roman times, Bath became the height of fashion during the eighteenth century. The Pump Room is well worth a visit, and there are several museums, including the world’s largest costume museum and the fine medieval abbey.
Upon our arrival, we included a guided tour around the city onboard the coach.
Day 3: We pay a short visit to Glastonbury, the birthplace of English Christianity and the supposed burial place of King Arthur. We then head to medieval Wells, one of England’s smallest cathedral cities, with the opportunity to obtain lunch. This afternoon we head back to the hotel with free time to visit the nearby tourist attraction – Clark’s Shopping Village.
Day 4: This morning we visit Weston-Super-Mare. This afternoon we visit Cheddar Gorge. Lying at the heart of the Mendip Hills. It’s naturally rugged high sides, and flat cliff tops make it deservedly an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Day 5: We depart for the return to Norfolk and your local joining points.
