Day 1: Joining the coach from a local joining point, we travel to Springfiels for a coffee stop. We depart and make our way to Newark for time to explore and obtain lunch. We continue to the Holiday Inn Doncaster for 4 nights stay – dinner, bed & breakfast.
Day 2: We are off to Derbyshire today. Our first stop is in the picturesque town of Bakewell – home of the ‘Tart’ – or Pudding, to give it its proper name. Next, we are on our way to Crich where we visit Crich Tramway Village, home of the superb National Tramway Museum. Here you are returned to a period of the past within a recreated period village containing a working pub, cafe, old-style sweetshop, and tram depots.
Day 3: We begin with a visit to Europe’s largest antique centres, in the village of Hemswell. Here you will discover a wide range of antiques and collectables to suit all tastes. We continue to the historic city of Lincoln. Dominated by its magnificent Cathedral, and next to it the Norman Castle. Explore the lovely city or enjoy a cruise onboard the Brayford Belle.
Day 4: Our jaunt today takes us into the East Riding of Yorkshire to the seaside town of Withernsea for a break. We continue to and the market town of Beverley, with landmarks that include the gothic Beverley Minster and the 15th-century North Bar. Leaving Beverley, we drive across the elegant Humber Bridge, an architectural masterpiece, offering panoramic views of the Humber estuary, as we make our way back to the hotel.
Day 5: We drive across the Lincolnshire Wolds to the resort of Skegness, one of the country’s first seaside resorts to welcome visitors and still one of the most popular today. The first Butlin's holiday resort opened here in 1936. We continue making our way to Norfolk, and your chosen joining point.
