Day 1: Following your collection from home, we travel to Malvern arriving late afternoon at the Abbey Hotel. Tea/coffee & biscuits are served upon our arrival.
Day 2: Our day begins with a drive to the delightful Cotswolds and lovely Broadway. The pretty High Street is lined with horse chestnut trees and includes a mixture of period houses and picturesque honey coloured Cotswold stone cottages which have lured visitors for centuries. We have a break here before continuing through the Cotswolds to Regency Cheltenham. As you stroll along the promenade, it’s easy to see why it became the hip 18th century hang out for holidaying Brits, after the enterprising Henry Skillicorne unearthed its health-giving spa waters – even gaining the Royal Seal Of Approval after the visit of the then-reigning monarch, George III.
Day 3: After breakfast, we begin with a drive Leominster. Located in beautiful North Herefordshire, at the heart of the Black and White Villages. The town and the surrounding villages make a perfect base for exploring the wonderful rolling hills of The Marches, the borderland between England and Wales. From here we ride around some of the villages in Herefordshire’s beautiful ‘Black and White’ villages trail. Our route takes in delightful cottages, inns, shops in timber-framed hamlets including Eardisland, Pembridge, Eardisley and Weobley. We continue to Hereford. Take a stroll along the banks of the River Wye, enjoy the vibrant centre of High Town or immersing yourself in local history and historic architecture – they are all just a short walk from each other in Hereford City.
Day 4: We spend the morning exploring Worcester, with the River Severn flowing through the city. With its attractive jumble of medieval, Tudor, Georgian, and modern architecture Worcester has the feel of a small town. At its centre is a magnificent cathedral, perched along the riverbank, dominating the skyline for miles around. Just a short walk from the cathedral takes you to the famous Royal Worcester Porcelain Museum and adjoining factory. Early afternoon we return for the afternoon at leisure in Malvern. The oldest parts of the town can be seen around the Priory Church which was founded in 1085 when Benedictine monks settled here and built a Priory, which was a daughter house to Westminster Abbey.
Day 5: We depart for Norfolk, where our door to door service awaits to return you home.
