Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we join our luxury tour coach and head west to Pembrokeshire and the Cliff Hotel in Gwbert for our 4 night stay on a dinner bed and breakfast basis. Upon arrival we enjoy tea/coffee and biscuits while our bags are delivered your rooms.
Day 2: Today’s excursion takes us through the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to Tenby, one of the UK’s finest coastal holiday resorts. Tenby has retained its natural charm, narrow streets, harbour and beautiful beaches and is a delight to explore. We then continue to the picturesque seaside village of Saundersfoot. This delightful village enjoys a superb setting on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. The resort lies in a sheltered wooded valley where pretty shopping streets slope down towards three lovely sandy beaches lapped by the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. The busy harbour bustles with pleasure craft and fishing boats, and the resort is justifiably proud of its neat and well-kept appearance.
Day 3: We begin our day with a visit to St David’s. Surrounded by some of the finest coastlines in Europe, St David’s is the smallest cathedral city in Britain and is a popular location for pilgrims and artists alike. Adjacent to its 12th century cathedral stands the magnificent ruins of the medieval Bishop’s Palace. This afternoon we enjoy a visit to enchanting Picton Castle. Set within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Picton Castle is a 13th century castle, surrounded by 60 acres of RHS partner gardens. As you explore the house be sure to visit the grand entrance hall, library, great hall, dining room and drawing rooms, before heading downstairs to the castle’s medieval undercroft. No visit to Picton is complete without a wander around the beautiful historic gardens, which includes a recently restored walled garden, fernery, jungle garden and maze. Picton is also home to The Welsh Owl Garden and Zoo, which houses many species of birds of prey, and has recently expanded to include other animals such as its famous otters.
Day 4: Today we visit the National Wool Museum. Here, we enjoy an informative guided tour and let the story of wool, once the most important industry in Wales, weave its magic in this unique working museum. We continue our journey to the lovely market town of Cardigan, one of the oldest towns in Wales set on the banks of the River Towy, with a pedestrianised shopping area and a large modern covered market.
Day 5: After breakfast sadly, we must leave to begin our homeward journey, where our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
