Based in the capital city, this tour captures the essence of Welsh culture and spectacular scenery in addition to including a visit to one of the most interesting new attractions in many years; The Royal Mint Visitor Centre which produces coins and medals for over 60 countries worldwide.

Day 1: Following your home taxi pick up, we make our way to South Wales and the Holiday Inn in Cardiff, for our four night stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.

Day 2: We have the day free to explore the exciting capital of Wales. This vibrant and cosmopolitan city has undergone enormous regeneration over the past decade or so, its traditional attractions like the fairy tale castle are now complemented by the iconic Millennium Stadium. Alongside the high street shops and department stores there is a selection of lovely Victorian arcades containing a wide array of specialist shops and designer boutiques.

Day 3: After a leisurely breakfast we make our way through the Valleys to the little village of Pant where we enjoy a ride on the Brecon Mountain Railway, one of the Great Little Trains of Wales. The journey takes you into the Brecon Beacons National Park, through Pontsticill and along the full length of the Taf Fechan Reservoir before climbing to Torpantau high in the Brecon Beacons. Afterwards we make our way to Brecon for a short break with chance to enjoy a drink and bite to eat before we return via the Brecon Beacons National Park to Cardiff.

Day 4: This morning we head to Llantrisant, the home of the Royal Mint. Money makes the world go round - and the Royal Mint has been making it for the last 1,100 years. As well as striking sterling, they’ve made commemorative coins and the medals for the military plus commissions for over 100 other countries. Take a tour behind the scenes to discover how the world’s leading export mint, and coins, have changed through the centuries. Later we leave for a short ride to Cardiff Bay and you can see first-hand the exciting new developments taking shape. There is plenty of opportunity to explore and relax with a drink and enjoy the views over the bay.

Day 5: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel and head back to Norfolk making suitable stops en route. Upon arrival our door to door taxi service will be waiting to take you home.
