The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular shows in the world. This incredible event will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime! Over one thousand performers from around the Commonwealth will offer up a fantastic show against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. The colourful and exciting performance features breath-taking displays by cavalry and military dog teams, marching bands, traditional pipes and drums, Highland dancers and much more in the dramatic setting of the floodlit Castle Esplanade. This is a truly wonderful opportunity to be part of Scotland's Military musical extravaganza.

Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, we make our way to Scotland, arriving early evening at our hotel in Cumbernauld for our 4 night stay.

Day 2: Today’s included excursion takes you through the forested hills, stunning mountains and beautiful lochs of the Trossachs to the town of Stirling, the ancient capital of Scotland. Here the streets of the Old Town all wind upwards towards the castle. Whilst here, we include entry into Stirling Castle. In its grandeur with its superb sculptures and beautiful gardens. It was a favoured residence of the Stewart kings and queens who held grand celebrations from christenings to coronations. Today you can meet the costumed characters in the roles of bodyguards, court officials, maids of honour and servants who will welcome you into 16th century life. Highlights include the Great Hall, Chapel Royal, Castle Exhibition, Regimental Museum, Great Kitchens, Tapestry Studio and the nearby Argyll’s Lodging, a 17th century town house. From the castle, you can admire the surrounding landscape, known as ‘Braveheart Country’, following Hollywood’s interpretation of the life of William Wallace, Scotland’s first freedom fighter.

Day 3: Morning at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities. After lunch, we make our way to Edinburgh where there is time at leisure to explore before the evening's 6-15 pm performance of the Tattoo. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo draws together a host of creative talent from four continents. With innovative production, heart stopping sound, imaginative graphics, state-of-the-art lighting and specially commissioned fireworks, this is a 100-minute show not to be missed. There is approximately a 15-minute walk from the designated tattoo coach parking to Edinburgh Castle, with Castle Hill the old cobbled approach to the Esplanade on an incline. The seating in the arena is quite steeply tiered and is open to the elements, please dress accordingly.

Day 4: Departing the hotel late morning, we enjoy a visit to the Kelpies, to view the world’s largest equine sculptures in the world, towering over 100 feet over the Forth & Clyde Canal. They are an incredible tribute to the horse powered heritage of Central Scotland and are a sight to behold. We then continue to the Falkirk wheel, for a trip on world’s first and only rotating boat lift and to view this wonderful feat of engineering. You will be able to embrace panoramic views and enjoy a relaxing sail along the aqueduct and canal. There will also be time to experience the interactive exhibitions at this unique and ingenious visitor attraction.

Day 5: Sadly after breakfast we make our way back to Norfolk making suitable stops enroute. Upon arrival our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
