Day 1: Following a morning taxi collection from your home, we join our luxury tour coach and make our way to the Rosemundy House Hotel in St. Agnes. This evening we have a sherry reception before dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast, we have a full day at the Eden Project. Dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World by some, Eden is a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. With a worldwide reputation, Eden barely needs an introduction, but this epic destination definitely deserves a day of your undivided attention. More than just a huge, tropical garden, Eden is a gateway into the relationships between plants and people, and a fascinating insight into the story of mankind's dependence on plant life. Not only a mind-blowing visitor attraction, Eden is also fast-becoming a unique resource for education and knowledge towards a sustainable future.
Experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome - the world's largest greenhouse - and discover the tropical plants that are used to produce everyday products. Travel to South Africa and California, as you amble amongst the orange and lemon trees, olive groves and gnarled vines of the Mediterranean Biome, and in the 30-acre Outdoor Garden see hemp, sunflowers and other plants that could change your future, flourishing under the Cornish sun.
A fascinating location, but, more importantly, Eden is a great day out
Day 3: Our excursion this morning takes us to Truro, the county town of Cornwall. The most striking feature is the Cathedral. Cornwall's only city has everything you'd expect from a modern, well connected city - great shopping, great entertainment and a blossoming food and drink scene. Truro's heritage is evident in historic architecture, delightful parks and public spaces but at the same time is contemporary, quirky and unique - always welcoming and often surprising. Here vibrant, local independent shops and market traders rub shoulders with the usual national retailers in an ecletic mix with a creative vibe. Truro has a criss-cross of cobbled roads, browsable streets and magical mews, always rewarding for the curious and quiet joy for the unhurried.
From Truro, we head for Falmouth. The town stands on a peninsula below the headland crowned by Pendennis Castle. Its picturesque and busy harbour and palm tree-lined streets make it an ideal place to spend the afternoon.
Day 4: This morning we travel to St. Ives, a delightful old harbour town and resort. Explore the picturesque bustle of whitewashed fisherman’s cottages, art galleries, independent shops, bars and restaurants. Wander along narrow cobbled streets that maze out from the Digey and Fore Street towards the harbour, or head up Bedford Road to enjoy the atmosphere that is uniquely St Ives. For those who enjoy a brisk walk, why not head out on the stunning coastal path past Tregenna and Treloyan with stunning views of the St Ives peninsula. We then take the coastal road via Hells Mouth back to the hotel. The remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure.
Day 5: After breakfast, we make the return journey to Norfolk, where our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
