Lanterns at Longleat & Bristol Christmas Market

Day 1: From your chosen joining point we make our way to Swindon in Wiltshire, arriving late afternoon at the Doubletree by Hilton Swindon Hotel for our 2 nights stay on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2: Today we head for the delightful city of Wells with its tiny Cathedral. We can explore the town before we travel to Longleat to enjoy the traditional festival celebrations. Wander through the House with its traditional Christmas decorations and through the garden avenues of trees. We visit Longleat’s incredible animals with six and a half mile safari drive on board the coach. At 16.30hrs the lights come on as the Festival of Light begins. Hundreds of breath-taking Chinese lanterns will transform Longleat as darkness falls. Get ready to embark on a dazzling journey! (Please note: The Lanterns are viewed on foot. Warm clothing and appropriate footwear are essential.) We return to the hotel in time for dinner. (Please note, we will not enter the monkey enclosure due to the destructive nature of the animals towards vehicles).

Day 3: This morning we leave for Bristol and the traditional Christmas Market. Nestled within the heart of Bristol City Centre is the wonderful Christmas market, where you’ll find over 50 stalls selling an array of unique gifts and crafts. Grab yourself a warming hot chocolate or mulled wine and meander through the huts. Why not pick up a traditionally festive drink, such as a mulled wine or tempting hot chocolate with Baileys, to warm the cockles as you peruse a vast array of stalls. You will also be treated to a varied selection of live music from an array of talented performers. After our visit we make our way back to Norfolk and your chosen drop off point.
