A returning favourite for Eastons customers as we explore Cheshire and the surrounding areas. On this tour we visit Liverpool and Llangollen, as well as enjoying a fabulous return journey onboard the Llangollen Steam Railway..

Chester sparkles with a magical heritage and is the perfect place for a revitalising break at any time. The city is awash with history with many of its buildings carefully restored to retain their historical heritage. The city boasts a complete circuit of walls, sections of which date back to Roman times, as well as a Norman Cathedral. The famous Rows, unique two-tiered galleries built in the traditional black and white 'magpie' style, contain a wide range of shops selling goods from antiques to high fashion. In fact the city is one of the top retail centers in the UK.

Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we make our way to Chester, arriving late afternoon at the The Queens hotel for our 4 night stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.

Day 2: This morning we travel past Ruthin and Corwen into the Dee Valley, making a stop in Llangollen. Maybe take a stroll along the Victoria Promenade, browse the wealth of independent shops, walk through Riverside Park or watch the river tumble down beneath the bridge. After some free time, we have included a return journey onboard the Llangollen Steam Railway, the only standard gauge heritage railway in North Wales. You will enjoy a relaxing 10 mile journey, travelling through the stunning Dee Valley to the lovely town of Corwen, the crossroads of North Wales. The views from the carriages are breathtaking and constantly changing throughout your journey. Upon our arrival back in Llangollen, we re-join our coach as we make our way over the Horseshoe pass on our return to the hotel

Day 3: This morning we head into Liverpool where we are met by a local guide for a tour of this wonderful city. After the tour you will have free time to visit the local attractions and city sights at leisure. Why not visit the famous Cavern Club, or maybe explore the Albert Dock. For those who love the Beatles, you will be spoilt for choice, with multiple museums paying homage to the famous four.

(attractions subject to individual choice & payment). To round off the day we will see Liverpool and Wirral's most iconic sights aboard the world-famous Mersey Ferry on a 50 minute cruise. You will find out lots of interesting facts about city's rich musical heritage, learn how the ferries played their part in the First World War and hear more about Liverpool’s maritime history from the expert recorded commentary, which plays throughout the cruise. All you need to do is sit back, relax and take in the views. You'll be captivated as the rich and fascinating history of our world-famous waterfront unfolds before you.

Day 4: Today is at leisure to explore the historic city of Chester. When visiting this majestic city, take a step back in time and walk down the cobbled streets to discover the famous black and white ‘rows’ in the city centre. The half-timbered buildings now house some of Chester’s most beautiful stores, boutiques and restaurants. Take time to discover Chester’s Roman heritage and walk the two-mile ring of Roman walls made from local red sandstone. Only a short walk away, is the picturesque River Dee, with a charming riverbank known as the ‘Groves’ which is complete with a promenade, bandstand and boat rides

Day 5: Sadly, this morning we depart our hotel and head back to Norfolk making suitable stops en route. Upon arrival our door to door taxi service will be waiting to take you home.
