Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, you will join our luxury tour coach and we will head to Somerset and Wells where we find our hotel for the next four nights, the four star Swan hotel, on a dinner bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: This morning we head for the beautiful Mendip Hills, and our first stop today is Cheddar, famous for its limestone gorge. Cheddar is home to the country’s highest inland cliffs and is one of Britain’s most famous landmarks! No visit to Somerset is complete without a visit to a genuine Somerset Cider Farm, so this afternoon we continue through the Somerset countryside to Sheppy’s Cider farm. Through more than 200 years of making real premium craft cider, six generations of the Sheppy family have weathered the ups and downs of combining farming with cider-making by embracing change and opportunity. Our guided tour includes a visit to the orchards, the press house, the vat house and the Sheppy’s rural life museum and culminates with a guided tasting of some of the best loved ciders.
Day 3: Today we journey to the Somerset Coast today and visit Weston-super-Mare. Nestled on the Somerset coast, with a 2-mile stretch of sandy beach, you’ll find a magnificent grand pier and plenty of seaside attractions – you’ll soon see why visitors come back time and time again! Nature lovers will be left in awe by the beautiful greenery of the town’s parks and gardens, and if you’re searching for culture and history, there are many museums and galleries to explore, with Weston Museum being a highlight.
This afternoon, we head to Oakham Treasures, one of the largest privately owned museums of retail and farming history in the UK. Opened to the public for the very first time since July 2008, it has already become an award-winning major attraction, and guarantees to give you an amazing and uplifting trip down memory lane. Whether you are 8 or 80, you'll be fascinated by this vast and unique collection of memorabilia from the last century. There really is something for everybody, from the thousands of items in the historic stores, to the impressive display of vintage tractors and farm equipment.
Day 4: A free day to enjoy all that Wells has to offer.
Day 5: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel and make our way back to Norfolk making suitable stops en route. Upon arrival, we re-join our door to door taxi service who will return you safely home.
