Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, you will join our luxury tour coach and we will head north to Scotland and our base for the next 4 nights, The Winnock Hotel in Drymen.
Day 2: This morning we head into the stunning Trossachs National Park. Our first stop is Loch Katrine, where we enjoy a two hour cruise aboard the Sir Walter Scott. From the atmospheric Ben Venue and Ellen’s Isle to the historic site of Queen Victoria’s Royal Cottage, this sailing instils the beauty and heritage of the Trossachs perfectly.
Our next journey takes us over the Dukes Pass, through the village of Brig O’Turk, as we head to the town of Killin where we find the Falls Of Dochart. Located at the western end of Loch Tay, the famous white waters of the Falls of Dochart can be viewed from the village’s bridge. You can admire the misty spray rising in the air, as the waters of the river crash into the rocks then flow around the Islands of Inchbuie, known as the traditional and ancient burial place of Clan Macnab.
Day 3: This morning, after a full Scottish breakfast, we head to Falkirk, and the iconic Falkirk Wheel. The wheel is the World’s only rotating Boat lift which connects the Forth & Clyde and the Union Canals. You will make the ascent and the descent through the wheel and view this wonderful feat of engineering, with the whole trip lasting about one hour. You will be able to embrace panoramic views and enjoy a relaxing sail along the aqueduct and canal. There will also be time to experience the interactive exhibitions at this unique and ingenious visitor attraction.
We then continue to Edinburgh for some free time to explore. The majestic castle towers over the whole city, and the medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town sit side by side. Princes Street is home to city centre shopping, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafés to enjoy where you can sit and watch the world go by!
Day 4: Today we take one of Scotland’s most scenic routes over the rest and be thankful pass as we head to the lovely little white-walled town of Inveraray. Inveraray is the ancestral home to the Duke of Argyll and is situated on the western shores of Loch Fyne. There is time for a look around and obtain a drink and bite to eat before our afternoon visit to the Glengoyne Distillery. Here we have a one hour guided tour of this famous distillery, before you have the chance to try 2 Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Whiskies as you learn about the bold, complex flavours. We then head back to our hotel for our final evening
Day 5: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel, and make our way back to Norfolk arriving early evening. Upon our arrival we re-join our door to door taxi service who will return you safely home.
