If you’re looking for luxury, we have the perfect break for you. Staying at the lovely Best Western Woodlands Hotel. From here, soak up the history of Glamis Castle, one of the finest castles in Scotland and the setting for Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and discover Dundee, with its regenerated quayside and abundance of shops, cafés, restaurants and bars. We’ll also enjoy a trip to coastal St Andrews!

Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we join our luxury tour coach and head North through ever changing scenery to our overnight hotel, the Holiday Inn Darlington Scotch Corner.

Day 2: After breakfast we continue our journey along the East coast, passing the towns of Alnwick, Bamburgh and Berwick. You may even catch a glimpse of Holy Island, also known as Lindisfarne, before arriving in the Scottish Capital - Edinburgh for some free time. We continue our journey to Dundee, arriving late afternoon at the Best Western Woodlands for our 4 night stay on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 3: Today is free to explore the city of Dundee. You could visit Discovery Point and board Captain Scott’s ship, the RRS Discovery. Here you will follow in the footsteps of him and his crew, see how they lived, what they ate, and witness their hardships and triumphs on their heroic exploration of Antarctica. You could head to the V & A Museum of Design, enjoy a spot of retail therapy or just sit and watch the world go by. (attractions subject to individual choice and payment)

Day 4: This morning we travel West to historic Perth where we have the morning free to explore the city and have time to grab lunch. Nestled between two sprawling public parks, the elegant Georgian townhouses, cobbled streets and medieval spires, Perth boasts an array of outstanding monuments, art galleries and museums you can explore, as well as being able to take in the historic atmosphere by wandering the streets and nearby trails.

This afternoon, we travel to Glamis Castle. The family home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne, Glamis Castle is the legendary setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth, the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother and the birthplace of Princess Margaret.

As soon as you enter the Queen Mother Gates at Glamis and see the Castle's turrets and towers nestled at the end of the mile-long drive, you can't fail to be impressed by its majesty. Steeped in history, Glamis Castle has evolved over the years to create a stunning architectural treasure that is full of vitality to this day.

Once inside, every room has its own story and the evolution of the castle and its legendary tales and secrets are brought to life by your own enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guides. Every painting, every piece of furniture, every little detail along the way is a sharp reminder that this is not a museum but an incredible family home that has witnessed everything from Royal births to being the setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth.

The gardens surrounding Glamis Castle are beautiful all year round. Walks have been created to take in a mixture of habitats ranging from beautiful park land, formal Italian Garden and mixed woodland. At Glamis you have the opportunity to see a wide variety of flora & fauna.

Day 5: This morning we travel over the Tay Bridge and onto the Fife Coastal Route to the historic town of St Andrews, the world renowned home of golf. St Andrews is known for its historic university, medieval streets and gorgeous traditional buildings, and these are all brought to life on a 2-hour guided walking tour. Key stops include the Old Course Golf Course, St Andrews Castle, St Andrews Cathedral and the university of St Andrews.

We continue our day along the stretch of Fife Coast known as the East Neuk to the pretty historic fishing villages of Crail and Anstruther. Crail has a maze of charming cobbled streets which tumble down to the miniature harbour. There is plenty to explore, including a heritage centre, galleries, and delightful tearooms.

Day 6: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel and begin our journey south. Our first stop of the day is Glasgow - as Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow is famed for its culture, shopping and eclectic architecture. We then continue to our overnight hotel, the Holiday Inn Scotch Corner.

Day 7: This morning after breakfast we depart our hotel and  continue our journey back to Norfolk, where our door to door taxi service will be waiting to return you home.
