Monday 3rd - Friday 7th March 2025
Set in a beautiful sweeping bay the traditional resort of Llandudno is enclosed by the headlands of the Great Orme and Little Orme, 700 feet of sheer limestone that juts out into the sea. You can ascend to the top of the Great Orme in a cable car or Victorian Tramway and enjoy spectacular views across Anglesey and Snowdonia. The tranquillity of Llandudno with its pleasant shopping centre and wide level promenade make it one of the most popular seaside resorts in Wales.
The Tynedale launched their very first Landlubbers mock cruise in 1992 and has turned into their most successful themed breaks, each day gives you the feel of a new location with themed menus and entertainment for the location you are in.
Ports of Call... Jamaica ~ Germany ~ Greece ~ Thailand & Llandudno

M.V. Tynedale, the original land-based cruise ship, first took to the oceans in 1992 since then, has been copied by many, but bettered by none! The experience starts with the issue of a Passport to all arriving passengers which gets stamped at each new port of call, providing you with a great, permanent memento of your cruise holiday. By the way... at each port, the locals all wear appropriate themed outfits!

Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we head to North Wales and the town of Llandudno, with our home for the week being the fabulous Tynedale Hotel. During our stay you will be entertained with entertainment from destinations across the world and if you wish, have the opportunity to try food from the destination of the day. A normal menu will also be available each evening so you will have plenty of choice!.
This themed holiday has been perfected by the team at the Tynedale since 1992 and will provide you with a holiday like no other. Tonight’s theme is the wonderful Jamaican resort of Ochos Rios . You will experience a delicious dinner from our top notch chefs, followed at 20:30 by entertainment, and a complimentary finger buffet at 23:00.
Day 2: This morning we awaken in Cologne (Germany) After a hearty breakfast we rejoin our Landing craft (or coach in this case) where we make the short journey into the historic city of Chester for you to explore at your leisure. When visiting this majestic city, take a step back in time and walk down the cobbled streets to discover the famous black and white ‘rows’ in the city centre. The half-timbered buildings now house some of Chester’s most beautiful stores, boutiques and restaurants. You will also find one of the largest Roman amphitheatres in Britain; with ongoing excavations just outside the old city’s walls. Take time to discover Chester’s Roman heritage and walk the two-mile ring of Roman walls made from local red sandstone. Just a short walk away, is the picturesque River Dee, with a charming riverbank known as the ‘Groves’ which is complete with a promenade, bandstand, boat rides and ice cream! We return to the hotel in time for afternoon tea. Tonight we have a German themed dinner party followed by cabaret.
Day 3: Today’s theme is Skopelos (Greece), but is a day at leisure in Llandudno. Set in a beautiful sweeping bay, Llandudno is enclosed by the headlands of the Great Orme and Little Orme, with 700 feet of sheer limestone that juts out into the sea. You can ascend to the top of the Great Orme in a cable car or Victorian Tramway and enjoy spectacular views across Anglesey and Snowdonia (cost not included). The tranquillity of Llandudno with its pleasant shopping centre and wide level promenade make it one of the most popular seaside resorts in Wales and a delight to explore. Afternoon tea will be served at 15:30 and tonight we will enjoy a fabulous Greek celebration themed dinner with entertainment.
Day 4: This morning we are in Phuket & James Bond island (Thailand) and we reboard our coach for a morning visit Caernarfon, famous for its impressive castle built by Edward I and the investiture of Prince Charles in 1969. Later we continue to Beaumaris offering beautiful views out across the Menai Strait with quaint shops, tea rooms and a historic Castle, considered one of the most technically perfect castles within the United Kingdom. Again afternoon tea will be served at 15:30 and we then take our seats for a glamorous James Bond style cocktail party. Tonight’s Captains dinner is followed by our final evening of cabaret entertainment
Day 5: Sadly this morning we re join our coach and make our way back to Norfolk, where our door to door service will be waiting to take us back to our homes.
