The stunning Spey Valley and Cairngorms National Park await on this wonderful new tour, with a Moray Firth wildlife catamaran cruise and an included rail journey on the fabulous Cairngorm Mountain Railway.

Staying at the fabulous Grant Arms Hotel, nestled in the picturesque Scottish Highlands in the charming town of Grantown on Spey. You will enjoy warm hospitality in the comfort and luxury of one of Scotland’s oldest and most prestigious hotels. With a rich heritage dating back to 1765, its elegant decor and comfortable furnishings, the hotel offers a perfect blend of traditional Scottish hospitality and modern luxury.

Day 1: Following your home taxi service, you will join our luxury tour coach and we will make our way north to the four star Dryfesdale County House Hotel in Lockerbie for our overnight stay.

Day 2: This morning we depart our overnight hotel and head to Pitlochry. The centre of town is dotted with delightful shops, charming cafés and pubs. After our stop we continue our journey North, to Grantown-on-Spey, arriving late afternoon at the Grant Arms Hotel, for our 4 night stay on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 3: Today we will experience an unforgettable 2 hour catamaran cruise on the Moray Firth for a chance to see the world’s most northerly population of Bottlenose Dolphins, along with other marine wildlife, including seals and otters. (Please note, boat trips are weather permitting and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed). Should the cruise not be able to take place, an alternative attraction will be included.

This afternoon we head to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, a thriving city with its historic old town and famous Leakey’s Bookshop. You can view this compact city from the top of Inverness Castle, marvel at the stunning St Andrew’s Cathedral or take a relaxing stroll along the banks of the River Ness. (attractions in Inverness subject to individual choice and payment).

Day 4: This morning we enjoy a ride on the Cairngorm Mountain Railway. This is the highest railway in Britain and a journey in one of the carriages will elevate you 462 metres over the length of its 1,970-metre track. The funicular is the only one in Scotland and a trip to the top of Cairngorm is likely to be the high point (no pun intended…) of your holiday. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Ben Nevis. (in the event the railway is unable to operate, an alternative attraction will be provided).

This afternoon we head to Aviemore which is surrounded by beautiful Highland scenery in the majestic Cairngorms National Park. Towering mountains, sparkling lochs and magical forests surround this bustling town. You can also visit the unique gift shops, walkers shortbread and one of the quaint tea rooms.

Day 5: Today is at leisure for you to explore the lovely old town of Granton-on-Spey and maybe spend time relaxing in the hotel’s library. The town boasts a number of attractions ranging from a superb 18-hole golf course to the Grantown Heritage Museum. (attractions today subject to individual choice and payment)

Day 6: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel and begin our journey south. Our lunch stop today will be Perth. Nestled between two sprawling public parks, the elegant Georgian townhouses, cobbled streets and medieval spires, Perth boasts an array of outstanding monuments, art galleries and museums you can explore, as well as being able to take in the historic atmosphere by wandering the streets and nearby trails. We then continue our journey to Lockerbie and our overnight hotel, the four star Dryfesdale Country House Hotel, arriving late afternoon on a dinner bed and breakfast basis.

Day 7: This morning after breakfast we continue our journey back to Norfolk making suitable stops en route. Upon arrival our door to door taxi service will be waiting to take you home.
