Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we head to Cheshire arriving late afternoon at the Beaufort Park Hotel for our 4 nights stay on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Tea/coffee and Bara Brith (Welsh speckled bread) will be served on arrival whilst our luggage is taken to our rooms
Day 2: After breakfast we take a drive through the pleasant Cheshire countryside and enjoy a day in Chester. When visiting this majestic city, take a step back in time and walk down the cobbled street to discover the famous black and white ‘rows’ in the city centre. The half-timbered buildings now house some of Chester’s most beautiful stores, boutiques and restaurants. You will also find one of the largest Roman amphitheatres in Britain; with ongoing excavations just outside the old city’s walls. Take time to discover Chester’s Roman heritage and walk the two-mile ring of Roman walls made from local red sandstone. Later this afternoon, we enjoy a sightseeing cruise with commentary about the local area and its history.
Day 3: Today we visit Llandudno, the largest of the Welsh seaside resorts. A Victorian Gem with a history that goes back to the iron age. Set in a beautiful sweeping bay, Llandudno is enclosed by the headlands of the Great Orme and Little Orme, with 700 feet of sheer limestone that juts out into the sea. You can ascend to the top of the Great Orme in a cable car or Victorian Tramway and enjoy spectacular views across Anglesey and Snowdonia (cost not included). The tranquillity of Llandudno with its pleasant shopping centre and wide level promenade makes it one of the most popular seaside resorts in Wales and a delight to explore. This afternoon we head over the river to historic Conwy. Conwy is a town rich in history, which much of it still preserved within the walls and traditional structures of its buildings. In the heart of it is the mighty 13th-century castle, whose walls encapsulate this remarkable medieval town. Surrounded by lush Welsh countryside and watched over by the mighty mountains of Snowdonia, it’s a most beautiful place to visit.
We are off across the Denbighshire Moors this morning to the pretty Vale of Conwy, Llanrwst and Betws-y-Coed, a beautiful location set amongst woods and riverbanks. Here you can potter around the independent shops, enjoy a breath of fresh air on a walking trail or enjoy a bite to eat in one of the many cafes. We then enjoy a ride through pretty countryside to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Llangollen. This small town also has a wealth of independent shops to browse and interesting places to visit. Maybe take a stroll along the Victoria Promenade, walk through Riverside Park or watch the river tumble down beneath the bridge.
Day 5: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel and make our way back to Norfolk making suitable stops en route. Upon arrival our door to door taxi service will be waiting to return you home.
