Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we make our way to the Rosemundy House Hotel in St Agnes making suitable stops enroute.
Day 2: We begin our day with a visit to Padstow, a delightful little port, nestling on the beautiful Camel Estuary, with a picturesque harbour surrounded by pastel washed Medieval houses. Later we include a visit to Pencarrow House. This elegant Georgian house is filled with elegant furniture and artworks, and its gardens feature the Grand Victorian Rockery and Italian Garden.
Day 3: Day at leisure.
Day 4: We spend the day with our Blue Badge Guide visiting many of the sites you will have seen on TV drama ‘Doc Martin’, including Bodmin Moor and of course Port Isaac – Port Wenn in the show. The narrow lanes of whitewashed stone cottages lead down to the harbour – a truly peaceful and unspoilt spot. We also visit Tintagel, steeped in legend and mystery and said to be the birthplace of King Arthur. You might like to go to the visitor centre, King Arthur’s Halls or the castle itself (entry not included).
Day 5: We have a morning excursion to Truro, Cornwall’s cathedral city. Centre stage is the impressive Gothic revival cathedral, and in its shadow, a warren of back streets is home to dozens of independent shops and cafes. Later we make our way to Trelissick Gardens. Situated on its own peninsular, commanding magnificent views over the Fal estuary, Trelissick has one of the best natural settings of any estate in the country. There are 30 acres of garden to explore, with twisting paths leading you through important collections of Hydrangeas, Rhododendrons and Ginger lilies, together with woodland plants and herbaceous borders that provide year round colour and interest.
Day 6: We enjoy a morning around Falmouth The coastal town lives and breaths the sea. Being the third deepest natural harbour in the world, it’s clear to see why Falmouth is a hub for marine activity. Its vibrant town centre, amazing food and white sandy beaches make it a must when visiting Cornwall. Be sure to check out the Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle and the harbour. Later we enjoy a cruise through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This scenic river trip is one of the most beautiful in the world. Passing Tudor castles, deep sided wooded valleys, historic houses and an abundance of marine activity, this trip is perfect for enjoying the best bits of the Fal River.
Day 7: After breakfast, we make the return journey to Norfolk, where our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
