Day 1: Following your taxi collection from your home, we board our luxury tour coach and head west to Malvern and our hotel for the next four nights, The Abbey Hotel in Malvern, on a dinner bed and breakfast basis. Tea/Coffee & biscuits are served upon arrival.
Day 2: Our day begins with a drive to the Hop Pocket Craft Centre and shopping village for our morning break before we visit Weston Cider Mill. Nestled amongst acres of apple and perry pear orchards, The 400 year old farmhouse is the centre piece to a truly unique day out. You will discover the secrets of traditional cider making by joining one of the guided mill tours. Hear how cider is produced from the planting of the orchards to the moment it is poured. You will then be invited to sample a selection of ciders and perries and enjoy a light lunch. This afternoon we have free time in Hereford before returning later to the hotel. Hereford sits right at the heart of the county, on a loop of the River Wye. The golden-stone cathedral, with its medieval Mappa Mundi and Chained Library, is a huge draw – but you can also wander among half-timbered houses and stroll along the Wye. Browse independent shops across the city, they're clustered along quirky Church Street, and explore the Old Market, transformed into an open-air destination for shopping and dining
Day 3: Today we begin with a ride around some of the villages in Herefordshire’s beautiful ‘Black and White’ villages trail with our onboard guide. Our route takes in delightful cottages, inns, shops in timber framed hamlets including Dilwyn, Weobley, Eardisley, Pembridge and Eardisland. We have free time in Leominster before returning to Malvern. Beneath medieval overhanging eaves, in Georgian townhouses and under ancient wooden beams, more than 100 antique dealers ply their trade in Leominster. It's an absolute treasure trove. There's also a host of fabulous independent shops, including galleries, bookshops and contemporary gift shops. For those wishing to enjoy more of the black and white trail wander around Leominster's historic streets, including the intricately carved Grange Court. This timber-framed masterpiece was built by the 17th-century 'King's Carpenter' John Abel.
Day 4: This morning we travel North to Stourport-on-Severn where we enjoy a cruise on the River Severn. Afterwards we disembark and head south to the City of Worcester where we have time to explore the city. At its centre is a magnificent cathedral, perched along the riverbank, dominating the skyline for miles around. The cathedral is one of the loveliest in England and dates back to Norman times. The early 12th century Chapter House, St. Wulfstan's Crypt and the mediaeval cloisters are among the most remarkable in the country, and King John's tomb in the Cathedral dates from 1216.
Although possessing all the sophistication and amenities of a city, Worcester with its attractive jumble of medieval, Tudor, Georgian, and modern architecture has the feel of a small town and is easy to explore and get around.
Just a three minute walk from the cathedral takes you to the famous Royal Worcester Porcelain Museum and adjoining factory. Nearby, you can wander along medieval Friar Street, full of restaurants and bars nestled within original timber buildings, or maybe visit Greyfriars, a merchant's house built in 1480. (attractions in Worcester subject to individual choice and payment)
Day 5: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel and head back to Norfolk making suitable stops en route. Upon arrival our door to door taxi service will be waiting to return you home.
