Day 1: Following a morning taxi collection from your home, we make our way to the Rosemundy House Hotel in St. Agnes making suitable stops en route.
Day 2: After breakfast, we have a full day at the Eden Project. Dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World by some, Eden is a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. With a worldwide reputation, Eden barely needs an introduction, but this epic destination definitely deserves a day of your undivided attention. More than just a huge, tropical garden, Eden is a gateway into the relationships between plants and people, and a fascinating insight into the story of mankind's dependence on plant life. Not only a mind-blowing visitor attraction, Eden is also fast-becoming a unique resource for education and knowledge towards a sustainable future.
Experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome - the world's largest greenhouse - and discover the tropical plants that are used to produce everyday products. Travel to South Africa and California, as you amble amongst the orange and lemon trees, olive groves and gnarled vines of the Mediterranean Biome, and in the 30-acre Outdoor Garden see hemp, sunflowers and other plants that could change your future, flourishing under the Cornish sun.
A fascinating location, but, more importantly, Eden is a great day out.
Day 3: This morning we visit Penzance. Nestled in a corner of glorious Mount’s Bay, the town has long been a hidden gem for tourists. When you visit Penzance you’ll encounter all the salt-flecked history you would expect from its famous name – the cobbled alleyways, the bobbing boats and dockside taverns – along with a vibrant local shops. Here you will feel like you’ve discovered authentic Cornwall. We then head to St Ives, a great seafaring town from the middle ages, with the largest fleet of fishing boats on the north coast of Cornwall. It was not until the wall and pier were built to create a safe harbour for the fishing fleet that the town you see today began to form. See the picturesque harbour, stroll along the beach or browse the maze of narrow cobbled streets lined with independent shops and fisherman's cottages.
Day 4: Following breakfast, we enjoy an excursion to Mevagissey. Narrow streets and steep valley sides lead down to the centre of the old Mevagissey where the distinctive twin harbour provides a haven for the many fishing boats that land their daily catch. In typical picture postcard style, cafes and shops cluster around the harbour walls. We then head to Truro for an afternoon at leisure. Truro has a criss-cross of cobbled roads, browsable streets and magical mews, making it a wonderful place to spend the afternoon.
Day 5: After breakfast, we make the return journey to Norfolk, where our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
